If your wondering what is included inside a funeral program, here are some guidelines you may want to follow. Often times programs are also referred to as memorial service programs which are printed keepsakes or memorials that outline the accomplishments and summarizes the life achievements of a loved one.
First, choose from a variety of funeral program designs and then determine which size you want to use for the funeral program layout. Sizes can come in letter single fold, tri fold brochure, large tabloid, funeral cards, or gatefold programs, just to name a few. Next, decide what title you’d like on the front cover. Some examples may “In Loving Memory” or “A Celebration of Life.”
The back cover generally includes acknowledgments, funeral home information, pall bearer or flower bearer information. The inside pages can contain the funeral obituary, Funeral Poems, /Eulogies/Tributes and Special Acknowledgments or funeral thank you notes to those who were especially helpful to the bereaved family.
The inside can contain the order of funeral service and an obituary. These are traditional guidelines and you may or may not have them as part of your service. If you do not, you should customize the program to what you would like it to be. You do not have to follow exactly what is laid out for you. In fact you should tailor it and not worry about writing something atypical.
